Quick Start Guide: Online Private Lessons

Below you’ll find tips and steps to get started with scheduling your first online private lesson!

Quick start:

1.  Select the plan - either a monthly subscription or prepaid package - that works best for you.

2. Select your teacher and book an online private lesson:

  • Step 3. Find the day and time you’d like to book - all the white spaces are times the teacher is available. It will default to booking a 60-minute session, but you can drag your mouse to shorten the lesson to 30 minutes, or extend it to as many as 4 hours. The system will not let you book a lesson less than 24 hours in advance.
  • Step 4. You’ll see your newly scheduled lesson(s) under the "My Lessons" tab. You’ll also receive a reminder email 2 days before the lesson date.
  • Step 5. Fill out your student profile so your teacher can get to know you better!
  • Step 6. Start learning! Come class time, you can access the teacher’s virtual Zoom classroom under the "My Lessons" tab. All you need to do is hit "Start Lesson," and the teacher will let you in!

Recommendations:

  • If you are on a monthly subscription, be sure to use up all your hours within your billing cycle -- they will not roll over to the next billing cycle.
  • If you find a teacher you like, schedule lessons in advance!
  • Fill out your learner profile.
  • If you need to cancel a scheduled session, be sure to do so in your student account at least 24 hours in advance. Your lesson will count as “used” if you cancel less than 24 hours before the start time of your class.
  • If you need to make changes to your monthly subscription, get in touch with Student Success ([email protected]) before your subscription renewal date.
  • In addition to your private lessons, you’ll have access to our full library of resources to help you study between classes: materials (custom Cricket eLearning textbooks, slide modules), video-based activities, and Soundcloud audio files!
